Soooooooo.... You are walking around your favorite store *cough*WINNERS*cough* and you run into that one person you absolutely cannot stand to idly chat with. A bigger person would stand there and hold back the rolling eyes while grunting out the obligatory "Hey!" and side hug.... Is that person ME?? Yes.
But wait!! During my nightly net browse, I run across the above photo on SlipperyBrick.com and, all of a sudden, such AWKWARD social exchanges are no longer a problem!!!
Now, all I need is a Samsung phone and the ability to stop time. That way, I can switch my SIM card out of my Blackberry Bold 9780 and into the new device. Then, I will resume time and "call myself" so that I can excuse myself from the lack luster conversation. Why stop time and do the switcheroo instead of just using that pause in the space-time continuum to run in the opposite direction?? Simple - I want to savor the moment where I am shaming the individual who is standing in front of me by taking a "call" that is more important than me speaking to a shallow waste of oxygen.
If you, my faithful reader, ever caught the intro credits to HBO's "How to Make It in America," then you had an idea where this song came from (if not, i suggest youtubing some of the episodes because that show was amazingly entertaining.) Just as I log onto Twitter for the evening to check out what my favorite celebs and wannabes are saying, I see a post from Kanye West. If anyone remembers a small story from a few days back about Kanye commissioning a jeweler to make a watch with his face inside, then this twitter BLAST will squash all rumors! There's more than a watch - quelling Britney Spears and Taylor Swift rumors, along with news about his new single with Jigga, H.A.M., reaching #2 on the iTunes downloads chart.
This is what I love about Twitter: there is an opportunity for everyone to show who they are (or who they want to be) without the FLUFF. 140 characters or less, people. Succinct and efficient.
